Our stay at Southlands was delightful. Jules greeted us with warmth & made us feel welcome. The room was beautifully styled, as was the whole house. Our breakfasts were deliciously prepared & gratefully eaten. A short walk to the village was an added bonus.- Kellie P
We stayed at Southlands for 3 nights at the end of September 2025 when the weather was spectacular. The location is just 10 minutes walk to the lovely busy part of Burton-on-the-Water, which was really convenient. The rooms are very well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts are superb, and worth the stay alone! Tony is very accommodating with mixing and matching menu items but you should try the full English and the fruit yogurt. Jules is one of those rare hosts who makes you feel so welcome, with great recommendations and then gives you all the space to enjoy your stay. We would certainly come again and recommend it highly if you are thinking of spending a few days in the Cotswolds. - Danny and Tina T
Just home from a wonderful stay at Southlands Bed and Breakfast. We were welcomed by Jules, to a cuppa and a slice of home made lemon drizzle cake before she showed us to room 1. Our gorgeously spacious executive king room with the most stunning en suite. What made our stay, was that Tony and Jules were so welcoming. Their home away from home is beautifully immaculate and everything was thought of. A generous complimentary drinks tray with bottled water in our room, the lovely high quality shampoo, conditioner and hand wash in the room for our use, with a hairdryer for convenience. The oh so comfy king size bed had the most luxurious crisp white bedding, big plump pillows, with fluffy white towels in the en suite too.The view over the garden was beautiful with the sun streaming through the window. A lovely view of Rusty the elephant too!Southlands is immaculately clean as Tony and Jules' standards are so high, and the homely ambience of the house is to die for, with tasteful, beautiful decor and piped music in the breakfast room, creating a relaxing atmosphere while diving into Tony's incredible cooked breakfasts! There was so much choice for breakfast to set us up for our day exploring the picturesque village which is just a short walk away.I can safely say that this is the best b&b we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many. Thanks Tony and Jules, and of course Tony's Mum for welcoming us into your special home. The lemon drizzle cake was amazing!See you again next year!Kaz & John - Karen & John L
